ステイトメント / Statement
シャッターを押す瞬間、僕はとても幸せだ。
それは、目の前に僕をそんな気持ちにしてくれる被写体が存在するからだ。
写真を始めてからずっと、自分の心に素直に、その「幸せの瞬間」を撮りつづけてきた。
そしてそれは、日々の生活の中にも、どこか遠くの旅先にも存在した。
僕が世界各地で出会ったその瞬間を、一緒に旅する気分で見て頂ければと思います。
この写真集を開き、あなたの心に優しい風が吹けば、それが僕にとっての幸せです。
I am very happy at the moments when I press the shutter.
This is due to the presence of the photographic subjects I see before me that give me this feeling.
Ever since I took up photography, I have continued to take pictures true to the “happy moments” of my heart.
And these moments exist in everyday life and in the faraway places I travel to.
I hope you view the happy moments I have encountered around the world as if you were traveling with me.

Tomohide Ikeya
沖縄でのダイビングガイドを経て写真の世界へ。
現在は、水中からオーロラまで地球全体をフィールドに、一年の多くを取材先で過ごしている。
自分の気持ちを乗せて、描くように撮影する独特の手法で、「しあわせの瞬間」をテーマに撮影を続けている。

Sachi Murai entered the world of photography after working for a while as a scuba diving instructor in Okinawa.
Currently, Murai spends the greater part of each year in locations throughout the world photographing the beauty of the earth that encompasses everything from underwater seascapes to auroras.
Murai employs his own special method of photographing scenes in harmony with his feelings that portray “happy moments,” the theme of his photographic work.
